Zach Fisher made a successful MABL debut on Wednesday night at historic Clifford Field for the Dodgers. Zach, the younger brother of 2001 MABL Rookie of the Year Garret Fisher, struck out 16, walked only 1, scattered 5 hits, and allowed only an unearned run in picking up the complete-game victory. Garrett supported his brother with a line shot to very deep centerfield for a homerun. Earlier in the game, Dodger 2002 first-round pick, John Mallin doubled home scrappy veteran Scott Gilefsky with the first run of the game. Gilefsky also added two RBIs to pace the Dodger attack. Catcher Pete Magyar scored two runs in his first game of the year. Shane Steffens shined for six innings on the hill for the Cubs in picking up the tough loss.
